We’ve been very lucky to have a variety of wonderful performers so far ranging from local talents like Jennifer Armstrong, Anne Dodson, Bobbi Lane and Martin Swinger to world reknown artists like Bill Staines, Cosy Sheridan, Darryl Purpose, Don White and David Roth. Below is the official log of our concerts so far.
- Darryl Purpose and local opening act, Bobbi Lane helped us start this series in September 2000.
- Jennifer Armstrong followed that with a great concert in February 2001.
- Don White and local opening act, Roy Atkinson, performed in May 2001 for our first sold out show.
- Jamie Anderson, with opening act Martin Swinger kicked off our fall series in October 2001
- Tom Lewis followed this show just two weeks later with a wonderful evening of stories and songs of the sea and sail.
- Darryl Purpose and Bobbi Lane finished up our fall season in mid-November with another fun show.
- Evergreen, a local folk/acoustic band performed at a house in Brewer, Maine that was a great success. Click here for some pictures form that show.
- When our primary act (Small Potatoes) couldn’t make it up here because of the weather, Matt Shipman and Allison Gladstone jumped in to save the show and did a wonderful performance for us in Ellsworth in March 2002. Click here for some pictures of this show.
- Mike Agranoff flew up from New Jersey in May 2002 to make us all laugh and sing along. We made the ’style’ section of the Bangor Daily News with this show!
- Anne Dodson helped us test the waters with our first summer show. We had a great turnout and plan on doing some summer shows for now on.
- Martin Swinger, with opening act Charles ‘Frets’ Halligan, helped break in a new venue, Learning Unlimited Language school in Surry with a great show.
- Cosy Sheridan performed at our second house concert in Brewer and brought in a great group of listeners, many who had never been to a house concert before!
- Billy Jonas - November 2002 - Billy came up and bang’d and sang for us, and did a kids show on WERU the next morning. They’re bringing him back to Bangor in February 2004, we can’t wait.
- Lui Collins - March 2003 - Lui drove up through the Maine March ice to warm us up with her songs and stories. She also helped us try out another venue option, Sister’s Salsa in Surry.
- David Roth - April 2003 - David made us all laugh at our 3rd house concert in Brewer.
- Don Conoscenti - May 2003 - Don gave us a wonderful show in Trenton to finish off our 3rd season. This was featured in an article on house concerts the Maine Times August 2003, this was our last show of our spring 2003 series. - Bill Staines - September 2003 - Kicking off our 4th season we had Bill Staines come up to do a wonderful show for us in Brewer. This was our first show with a huge waiting list.
- Bob Franke - October 2003 - Due to a power outage at the house we were planning to host this concert at we moved this show at the last minute to the Ellsworth Library. But We still had a great turn out and Bob shared his wonderful songs and stories to a full room.
