Well, the definition varies but here is how we’re doing it: About once every other month we have a professional musician or group come into one of our homes or a nearby private space (barn, backyard, you name it) and provide an evening of entertainment to those people who come to the concert. We take all of the furniture that you can’t sit on out and put in chairs for seating, that way we can manage to get about 40 - 50 people in for the concert. Sometimes more, depending on the host house for that concert.

We serve refreshments and snacks at no charge. All performers usually have a selection of their CDs/Tapes/books for sale at the show.

Seating is limited to approximately 40 people, depending on the house. We request a small admission fee, usually $10, payable at the door, and ALL the admission money goes to the artist(s). That’s right, we’re ‘non-profit’ in every sense here.

Why are we doing this if we don’t make any money? We are a group of folks who love to hear live acoustic music in cozy intimate locations where you can see & hear the artist and get to meet them. Since there wasn’t a venue in this area providing this service after the Left Bank Cafe’ closed, we figured instead of sitting around whining about it, we’d do something about it. We pay for the tickets for these shows just like everyone else.
