Hosting A House Concert
- Who can host ? Anyone. If you have a medium to large space in your house/barn/garage and are interested in possibly hosting a house concert at your house drop us a line. We would love to do each concert in a different location, and are excited about the idea of hosting an artists show at a home that really likes that artist.
- What do I have to do ? Basically, clean-up the space. Push your couch and tables to the wall or better yet move them into another room to make space for the chairs.
- What do you ‘organizers’ provide? We have chairs, a sound system with volunteer engineer, and volunteers to do just about everything from baking treats to making press releases
- Ok, I’m interested in hosting a show what’s the next step? Let us know if you’re interested and if their is a particular artist you want to host. Also, our target attendance number for any given concert is usually 30 people so if you can get anywhere near that amount just from your neighbors and family then that’s even better though certainly not required.
Other Venues
- If you have access to or know of another venue you think we should investigate hosting shows at let us know. Lately we’ve been hosting shows at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ellsworth ME and the First Congregational Church (UCC) of Brewer, ME. These are both larger venues than our typical ‘house’ but still provide an intimate concert in a quality space, and they are also cheap which means we can continue giving almost all the door to the performer as we do with house concerts.
